What is your career trajectory to date?
I did my B.Sc. in Physics and a master in theoretical physics at Universitat de València. Currently I am third year PhD candidate at Insituto de Física Corpuscular (IFIC).
What are the most exciting open questions in your research area?
What is the nature of neutrinos? What is dark matter? What is causing the Universe to accelerate? What is the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe? And many more!
What do you like and dislike about being a scientist?
I enjoy a lot the feeling of being constantly learning something new. I also like the unpredictability of everyday work: progress can be made in very long or short periods of time.
What I really do not like is the feeling of uncertainty regarding future employments and the stressful and competitive atmosphere of academia.
Which of your skills are you most proud of, or find most useful?
I think I am a quite creative and open-minded person. Regarding hard skills, I am proud of how I have learned to deal with data and improved my coding during my PhD.
What new skills would you like to learn in the next year?
I would like to improve my communication skills. They are important not only for sharing results with the community but also for teaching and outreach.
What advances or new results are you excited about or looking forward to?
I am looking forward to the detection of the diffuse supernova neutrino background and in the far future, I would love to see the detection of the cosmic neutrino background
What role do you think a community network like EuCAPT can play in developing theoretical astroparticle physics and cosmology in Europe?
Networks like EuCAPT play an important role in connecting people with similar research interests and giving opportunities to early career scientists.
What’s your favorite food?
Cheese!
How do you like to relax after a hard day of work?
Knitting, reading a book or swimming.
Do you have any non-physics interests that you would like to share?
I love knitting and crochet. I started learning during the pandemic and I enjoy it so much! I am also part of a choir.
If you were not a scientist, what do you think you would be doing?
Maybe opening a small book shop or a craft shop.
